WEEKEND!!!

My nephew Chance trying out a Yo-Yo

This is my sister Babette, and her son Chance. This was after 9 hours of shopping!!! I was definetly leaning on my nephew!
OOPS! I can't get this picture off of here!!

What a wonderful weekend! The weather was 70 degrees, it felt amazing!! The wind was blowing, but it seemed to help blow away some of the worry and stress. (due to waiting for referral!) Saturday, Shawn & I went to my nephews basketball games, out to eat, and a little shopping in their town.

Sunday, my sister called and asked if we wanted to got to Joplin, for MORE shopping. I was OK NOT going, but Shawn wanted to eat at Red Lobster. So we went.

I found lots of bargains! If we knew what gender and ages our children would be, I would have bought a ton more clothes! Right now i'm buying, and will donate to HOH what we won't need.

My hubby also got me something special. I had seen something like it on another blog awhile back. I'll post it tomorrow!

Have a wonderful week!!

70 degrees is not fair. We made it up into the 40's today and it will be back below freezing by tommorrow. but boy did we think we had a heat wave today! Didn't even wear winter coats, just sweatshirts.. :) Enjoy the weather.. Sounds like a fun weekend too! :)

I went overboard shopping for clothes a while ago. If our daughter ends up being older than 9-12 months, we have a large supply of baby girl clothes we can donate to HOH. :)
Shopping for children is so fun!

Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Sounds like you had the exact same weekend as us! We had 70 degree beee-aaa-uuuu--tiful weather! We also did the basketball games on Sat with our nephews. But the shopping WE did involved buying Bradley a hamster and all her needs. He loves her. And....then we went to Red Lobster! I'll have to tell you about the name Babbette in private though!

Sounds fun! I love the Lob! :) And, the weather this weekend was fabulous wasn't it? You guys must be close to us (well sort of) if you were going to Joplin - we're in St. Louis. So, we had an awesome weekend and then 10 inches of snow. Woohoo! :)

From your comment at our blog- yes, I did save some hair - actually James gave us ALL the hair from the haircut! I don't think I'll save ALL of it though. :)

I bought a bunch of clothes on sale too that I'm going to take over and donate. It's so fun shopping for the little kiddo's. Has your agency given you any indication of where you stand? Hope you hear something soon!

Thanks for the comment! My dogs do travel well. They do plane rides just fine and they're great in the car except for when we've stopped the car. Once the car is stopped, they want to be out NOW! They love driving around though-it works well for us, especially when we were in college/grad school and moving frequently.

And, manga is defined as:
a Japanese graphic novel, typically intended for adults, characterized by highly stylized art.

I was introduced to it by some of my students who draw it. There is a large population of Asian kids here, obviously, and they have introduced me to so much!

Hey Lisa,

I think a lot of us are waiting for sibs... We are asking for 2 under the age of 5. Ours have to be younger becuase of Matthew. HOw about you? I guess I could have looked at your blog closer you may say that somewhere... Hope you are well. Oh and no good news yet from the congressmen's office.. blah. They said there is not much they can do unless I already had my referral... Oh well. CHI is helping me out right now to see if there is anything they can do. In the mean time we wait. HOpe things are well with you!
