To all my bloggy buddies: My boss, who is also my very close friend, has a 17 year old son that was in a horrible truck accident.I used to pick Brandon up from grade school and bring him back to work for his mom.He hit a bridge early this morning head on.He was life flighted after initial treatment of getting blood out of his chest cavity, then had surgery after they reached the trauma hospital. He never has regained conciousness, has swelling around? his brain, and is having brain damage type seizures. They are having to do surgery on his broken femur and some other leg bones. They need to go ahead and do this because of sometype of something(chemical) that a broken bone releases, that's not good for you.The Neurology Surgeon says it's a wait and see right now.I know this is every mothers nightmare.
Please pray for Brandon and his mom,Amy.
Thanks,
Lisa

This is devestating! Brandon and Amy are on my prayer list. Keep me posted.
Praying...
Awful. Has he made any progress?
Small update:They did get a small jerk from Brandon today. When they poked under his nail w/ a needle. This sounded like good news to me.
Please continue to pray for him!
Thanks! :)
Unfortunately Brandon is now,not expected to make it.The Neuro said that there is just to much brain damage. This is the
saddest, hardest, thing I've had to deal with in a long time.Watching one of my best friends, lose the only thing that matters to her.(really, this woman lives for her son)

Amy called and said they had brought a new, older and wiser, neurosurgeon in on Brandon's case.
This morning they removed a small portion of his skull, implanted it under his belly skin,to keep it alive for later. The new Dr.told Amy that if it was his son,he would do this surgery for at least a fighting chance. Please continue to keep Brandon in your prayers!
(definetly a better day today)
They are in my prayers.
I am so sorry.
I feel for this mother--of course, I can't help thinking of my own children...
I'll be praying.
Take Care,
Lori S.

This afternoon Brandon was taken off of life support. His parent's are donating his organs.Thank you for sending prayers.
my condolences to the family...I am praying for them and so very sorry for their loss. What a gift to donate his organs. My aunt lived on for many years after 2 different kidney transplants. Organ donation is a selfless decision at such a difficult time. My heart goes out to the family.
I am married to Chandra's cousin, so I found your blog through her site. Anyway, I am always saddened to hear about a life lost too soon. This family will be in my thoughts and prayers, and I hope they will be able to find peace.
